THE LEGIONBOARD FIELD GUIDE

Schedule an AION 2 event across timezones

Pick one real moment, show it in each player’s local time and make the start, finish and check-in expectations clear. Use the converter above before sharing your next event.

Community scheduling guide. This page does not publish official server resets, boss timers or maintenance schedules. The dated conversions below are examples.

One event, one moment, several local clocks

An event starts at one moment even when the local dates differ. The organizer chooses a calendar date, local start time and named timezone. LegionBoard converts that choice to UTC while retaining the original timezone. Players can then view the same moment in their own timezone instead of interpreting an ambiguous message such as Friday at eight.

For a regular community, first decide whose local clock defines the schedule. A group that follows London evenings will shift relative to some overseas players when daylight saving changes. A group that follows a fixed UTC time may shift relative to its own members’ local evenings. Neither choice is inherently right; the useful choice is the one your players understand.

How to use the timezone converter

Enter the actual event date and time, choose the organizer’s timezone and select the timezone you want to compare. Read both the local result and the UTC reference. The date matters as much as the hour: a Tokyo player may be joining on Saturday morning while a London organizer is still playing on Friday evening.

The converter initially uses an example date and tries to select your browser’s timezone as the destination. Check those inputs before relying on the result. Your device’s timezone setting may reflect travel or a manual preference rather than where your character’s server is located. The converter is for people’s schedules, not a measurement of server time.

  1. Choose the exact date, including the year, rather than converting an undated weekly time.
  2. Enter the start time in the organizer’s local clock and select its named timezone.
  3. Select a participant’s timezone and check the resulting day as well as the time.
  4. Repeat for the other locations your group needs, then publish a single event link.

Worked example: a London Friday evening

For October 16, 2026, a start of 20:00 in Europe/London corresponds to 19:00 UTC. On that date, New York is at 15:00, Los Angeles at 12:00, Berlin at 21:00 and Tokyo at 04:00 on October 17. These values belong to this date; do not reuse the offsets unchanged for winter or a different year.

A ninety-minute session would finish at 21:30 London time. A player who is available only until 21:00 should say so before accepting a seat. Publishing a finish time is especially useful for people whose conversion lands after midnight or before work. Treat check-in as a separate instruction rather than quietly moving the advertised start earlier.

Daylight saving and ambiguous hours

Use an IANA timezone such as Europe/London or America/New_York rather than assuming a permanent UTC offset. IANA maintains location-based rules, including changes to daylight saving and regional policy. Software applies those rules for the selected date. A timezone name communicates more reliably than an abbreviation that players may interpret differently.

When clocks move forward, some local times never occur. LegionBoard rejects an event time in such a gap so the organizer can choose a real one. When clocks move back, an hour can occur twice. The converter uses the earlier occurrence; the event creation form lets the organizer explicitly choose the earlier or later occurrence.

Recheck international schedules around clock changes, especially when countries change on different weekends. Announce the event’s date and named timezone, then ask participants to open the event link again. Do not describe a changed local display as a changed event unless the underlying scheduled moment has actually been edited.

Publish an event players can act on

Creating an event requires an organizer account and a guild workspace. Give the event a recognizable title, choose its activity, set date and duration, configure the role slots and write practical notes. Your event link can work while a public guild profile is still pending directory review. Directory approval and event visibility are separate decisions.

Choose Public when you want the event eligible for the community feed, Unlisted when you intend to distribute the link yourself, or Guild-only when attendance should require membership. Public and unlisted events allow guest RSVPs. Unlisted means absent from the public feed, not protected by a password; anyone with the link can pass it on.

Explain where to meet, when signups close and what kind of run you are planning. If plans change, edit the event or cancel it so the shared page shows an accurate status. Send the update through the communication channel your group already uses; the current product does not send automatic Discord reminders or recurring invitations.

Add the event to a personal calendar

The event page offers an .ics download, the standard iCalendar event format. Import the file into a compatible calendar application and check its displayed start and finish. Calendar software may show the event in the application’s own timezone preference, which can differ from your browser’s setting.

A downloaded invite is a snapshot. It is not a subscribed feed that automatically follows later edits or cancellation. Reopen the shared event page before you travel or log in, and update your personal calendar if the organizer changes the plan. If you import an event twice, check for duplicates rather than treating two calendar entries as two separate runs.

Community plans and official game schedules

The public feed shows upcoming, public, scheduled events created by LegionBoard users. It excludes unlisted and guild-only events. An empty feed means there are no visible events matching those conditions; it does not establish that the game has no activities or that a community is inactive.

For maintenance, resets, seasonal events and boss availability, consult the current official announcement for your region. If you plan around one of those notices, put its link and date in your event notes. Separate the game’s availability window from your group’s chosen assembly time so players know which detail came from the publisher and which came from you.

Common questions

Is this the official AION 2 event calendar?+

It is a community event feed and timezone tool. Official maintenance, reset times and in-game timers must be checked against current regional announcements.

Why does a friend see a different date?+

The same moment can fall on different local dates across timezones. Compare the UTC reference and named timezones, then check the complete local date rather than just the hour.

Will my downloaded calendar entry update automatically?+

No. The .ics download is a snapshot. Recheck the event page and update your calendar after an organizer edits or cancels the event.

Can I create a weekly recurring event?+

The current product supports one-time events. Recurring schedules and automated reminders are planned features, so create and confirm each session individually.
